Denouement
She went to the beach, ready to give up
For her, it seemed easy than dealing with invisible monsters everyday
She wanted to end the pain and sufferings- bold, sudden, dramatic
Thoughts randomly occupied her preposterous mind- staunch, decisive
People won't understand how it feels.
People questioned her sanity- her state of mind
People only pretend to care now that they know death is visible in her eyes
She wanted to unite with her sober thoughts- fleeting- like life itself,
Staring at the vastness of the ocean, she didn't run
She took her time, savored the last minutes before she'd be gone
She sat on a small boat feeling it's presence comfort her unfixable soul
She needed time alone- to think, to breathe
To marry death, to unite with herself
And in that final moment, she no longer appreciated the beauty of nature she once admired
Beauty and tranquility surrounded her- but she no longer cared
Remembering her existence, she still managed to smile.
Finally, she dove into the enticing waters.
Time froze.
It was just her. No one else.
Amazingly, the cold sea felt okay- it was satisfying
Surprisingly, a stranger pulled her arm,
Struggling for air, she was rescued by someone
After being revived, tears blurring her vision, she realized she was wrong
Realized that everything in the so-called 'grand scheme of life' is totally fixable-
Except for having ended it all.
And that was a couple of years ago...
Yes, here she is-- a survivor--
Alive.
It was not her time yet.
It was not yet the end.

ReplyDeleteFrom day one of being at abuyog ,I loved my modules. I particularly enjoyed learning about the various explanation of crime and the ways in which race influence experience of the criminal justice system.every time I attend a Criminology lecture,I am excited to tell my friends about what I learned.
One thing that is unique about studying Criminology at chance to pick minor subject to study alongside your major subject in your first year.
